MEDDICC deal qualification: practise the seven elements on real-style calls
MEDDICC is a qualification framework for complex deals: Metrics, Economic buyer, Decision criteria, Decision process, Identify pain, Champion and Competition. Teachrity lets reps practise uncovering each element with an AI buyer who reveals them only to a rep who asks well.
The seven elements
Metrics are the measurable value. The economic buyer holds the budget. Decision criteria and process describe how the choice is made. Identified pain is the reason to act. A champion sells internally. Competition covers alternatives.
Where reps lose deals
They reach a friendly contact, never meet the economic buyer, and discover the decision process in the last week.
Practice structure
The AI buyer hides the decision process and deflects questions about the economic buyer. Scoring shows which elements remain unknown at the end of the call.
Use in deal reviews
Managers can run a rep through a MEDDICC conversation before a forecast review and see gaps early.
Champion testing
A friendly contact is not automatically a champion. Practice includes asking the contact to do something on your behalf, which shows whether they have influence.
