LMS integration
AI simulations inside Blackboard Learn with LTI 1.3
Blackboard Learn supports LTI 1.3 tools, and Teachrity is built to the standard. An administrator registers Teachrity, instructors place simulations in course content, students launch with their Blackboard sign-in, and scored attempts are visible to the instructor.
Placement
A simulation is added as a content item or a graded activity in a course area, so it appears next to readings and assignments.
Registration
The Blackboard administrator registers the tool as an LTI 1.3 application with Teachrity's client details and enables the placement for courses.
Grading
A scored attempt can feed the course grade, with faculty able to moderate. This keeps marks in the system teachers already use.
Why it helps
Blackboard institutions often hold plenty of content and little practice. A tool placement adds practice with no change to the LMS.
What to confirm before rollout
Confirm your Blackboard version, the available LTI placements and who registers tools. Pilot with a single course, then extend after faculty review a sample of attempts.
