Closing and next-step commitment: practise asking for the decision
Closing is the moment a rep asks for a decision or a clear next step. Many reps avoid it and end with a friendly goodbye. Teachrity lets them practise summarising value, testing readiness and asking for commitment with an AI buyer, after negotiation and before follow-up.
Summarise before asking
The rep restates the problem and the agreed value, in the buyer's words, so the ask feels like a conclusion.
Test readiness
A trial close such as how does this sound so far shows whether the buyer is ready or has a hidden concern.
Ask for something specific
A date, a signature, an introduction or a pilot start are all closes. A vague promise to follow up is not.
After a no
Practice also covers keeping the door open when the buyer is not ready, with a dated next step.
Reading silence
After the ask, many reps rush to fill silence. Practice trains waiting for the answer.
